Even on the worst days there is something to cheer you up.
This is Louis all smartened up for Mum's Funeral yesterday, isn't he gorgeous? It's hard to believe it's been a year already but it has and my boy is 1 today. More photos to follow.
It's sad that it takes a tragic event like this to bring everyone together but that's just how life is. Everyone has their own to get on with and finding the time to call on people and get together is not always easy.
Maybe we should make the effort, afterall, who knows if there will be a next time?
Last time I saw Mum we talked about the family tree that I've been working on, on and off, for the past 10 years. I asked her if she would mind if I interviewed her, ask her questions about her past, how she and Dad met, that sort of thing. I said I'd do it 'next time' I called over 'cause I wanted to record the conversation on my Ipod and I didn't have my microphone with me. We never got a 'next time'
This is my family, those who made it back to Sheila's after the funeral. Apologies to those of you in the photos, they're not exactly flattering, apologies to those of you not in the photos, you weren't intentionally missed. We weren't all at our best yesterday.
Uncle Michael (Mum's big brother), Jean (Mum's cousin) and Aunty Ann (Mum's aunty)
Chris (Mum's twin sister), Uncle Sausages (Steve, Mum's ikkle brother), Uncle Michael and Jean
Toni (My cousin), Richard (My cousin, Toni's Ikkle brother) and Wayne (My big bruvver)
